EUROSCHOOLS award for Haupt and Real

The Haupt and Real secondary school in Lassnitzhöhe, Austria, has been applauded for an anti-intolerance piece created as part of the EUROSCHOOLS 2008 project.

Multiple awards
The dance performance, entitled Crossing Bridges – Colours of Friendship, sends out a strong anti-racist message and is also an impassioned plea for human rights. The school has been eager to encourage tolerance, friendship and interaction between cultures and daily newspaper Kleine Zeitung was impressed, giving the Haupt and Real first prize in the schools category in the EUROSCHOOLS awards as well as a special prize for the best idea for the UEFA EURO 2008™ schools project. The school was also given the fairness award
